Police confirm fire investigation

Waterloo Regional Police are now confirming that the fire at the Campus Court plaza in Waterloo is being treated as an arson.
They’ve launched a criminal investigation after receiving a report from the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office.
Police spokesperson, Olaf Heinzel tells 570 News they’re asking the public for help.
He says anyone who can assist should call police directly or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The April 22nd blaze destroyed several businesses and caused over $2 million in damage.
It also put 100 people out of work.
