Re-gifting: Naughty or nice?

Now that Christmas is over, and the presents are unwrapped, is it okay to re-give something that’s been given to you?
Louise Fox from the Etiquette Ladies, tells 570’s Jeff Allan the idea of “re-gifting” tends to have a bad reputation. But, if you know the rules you can get away with it.
Never re-gift handmade or one-of-a-kind items. Make sure you’ve removed any recycled signs: like gift tags with your name on them stuck in the bottom of the box. To add a final touch always re-wrap the item in fresh paper.
There are times Fox says that re-gifting can be seen as a really good thing, and its okay for it to be recognized.
For instance, if it’s an antique or family heirloom the re-gift actually adds to the present’s value.
