High tech hubs join provincial network

Two local high tech hubs are joining the province’s new Ontario Network of Excellence.
The joint venture between Communitech and the Accelerator Centre will receive 750,000 dollars a year in provincial funding to help entrepreneurs bring new ideas to market.
Communitech represents more than 700 high tech businesses and the University of Waterloo’s Accelerator Centre helps start-up companies get up and running.
The Ontario Network of Excellence or “ONE” involves 14 regional innovation centres across Ontario. Guelph is also part of the network.
