Fanelli makes more progress

Kitchener Rangers defender Ben Fanelli has returned to full contact in practice.

The team confirmed the news this afternoon.

He’s been skating with the team in non-contact drills for most of the season.

Fanelli suffered a fractured skull in a game against Erie last October.

570’s Mike Farwell was at Wednesday’s practice.

He says one of the first things you notice is that Fanelli’s conditioning is there.

When he couldn’t take part in contact drills Fanelli was in the training room riding the bike.

Rangers Head Coach, Steve Spott said “This is a positive step for Ben and we are pleased that he continues to make progress, however it is important to note that there is no timeline for Ben to return to game play.”
