Former Leafs and Habs coach Pat Burns has passed away.
Burns who had been battling cancer for several years was 58.
His death was confirmed by the New Jersey Devils, a team he won the Stanley Cup with in 2003.
Burns is the only man to win the Adams Trophy as the NHL’s top coach with three different teams.
He also led the Habs to a Stanley Cup final in his first NHL season in 1989, and the Maple Leafs to their best post-season run in decades in 1993.
