Wilfrid Laurier students promote diversity

Wilfrid Laurier’s Student Union says it supports bringing more international students to Ontario, in response to a Macleans article on the growing Asian population at some schools in the country.

Chris Hyde with the Student Union tells 570 News international students improve the educational experience for everyone.

He says it creates diversity and more depth in the classroom, as well as attracts the best and brightest, making Ontario a hub of world-class education.

Laurier has a much smaller international population than the University of Waterloo at just over 1 percent.
