RIM’s Tablet price announced

We now have a price tag on Research in Motion’s new tablet computer, called Playbook.

It goes on sale early next year and it will be priced at under $500.

RIM Co-CEO Jim Balsillie says the goal is to make it competitively priced.

Balsillie, speaking at a conference in South Korea, said it will compete directly with the Apple iPad.
