Sixty-one charges have been laid against drivers from the Perth County OPP “Stop and Look” campaign.
The campaign ran from Monday October 25, 2010 to Thursday October 28, 2010 and targeted drivers who failed to stop or yield at intersections.
However, officers were also on the look out for other violations that inhibit road safety.
Other charges laid included motorists not wearing seatbelts, driving while talking on cell phones, speeding and driving while being suspended.
Perth County OPP officers will continue to patrol stop sign controlled intersections during the fall and winter so as to ensure compliance by the motoring public.
