A local group that helps immigrants in the Region adjust to their new life is looking for new members.
Lucia Harrison, chair of the Local Immigration Partnership Council, tells 570 News she’s hoping to attract a cross-section from the community – people with leadership skills and the ability to “get things done.”
Harrison also says she needs people who are willing to commit their time and energy.
Harrison calls the Council integral to the successful integration of new arrivals.
The deadline to apply to join, is Monday, November 1, 2010 at noon.
