Honouring IMAX creator

Cambridge will honour a former municipal leader and the man who founded IMAX today.
It will unveil a memorial to Robert Kerr at Mill Race Park this afternoon at 4:30.
Kerr, who died in April, served on Galt council in the late fifties and into the mid-sixties and then was mayor of Cambridge in the mid-seventies.
Current Mayor Doug Craig calls it a fitting tribute adding “Kerr was an innovator and very instrumental in the development of” the community.
