The Crown now agrees that the charges against alleged G-20 protest organizer Alex Hundert do not justify bail conditions that forbid him from speaking to the media.
Hundert is asking for a review of his extensive bail conditions.
He was originally charged with three counts of conspiracy related to G-20 activities, and his bail conditions from July included not participating in public demonstrations.
Hundert was re-arrested in September for violating that condition after speaking on a discussion panel at Ryerson University.
His new bail conditions included making no statements to the media about politics, a condition that sparked a protest march in Waterloo, led by local activist group AWOL, plus marches in other major Canadian cities.
Many legal experts also publicly stated the new bail condition was unconstitutional.
