Ministry of Environment officials do not have any concerns for immediate or ongoing health risks as a result of the recent spill at the Chemtura plant in Elmira.

Test results did confirm though that impacts from the spill were detected over one kilometre away from the facility.

Chemtura has been working to clean up vehicles and homes which were damaged with tiny brown spots, resulting from the release.

The spill happened back on September 27th.
