King St. parade ready

The final main phase of the reconstruction of King Street in downtown Kitchener will wrap up in time for the Thanksgiving Day Parade on Monday.

Work began on a section of the street between Water and Francis Streets in June.

With the completion of the final stage, the entire redevelopment project between Francis and Frederick Streets is now done, except for what project manager Eric Saunderson calls some minor work, set to begin next spring.

That work involves the addition of decorative crosswalks at Ontario, Francis and Queen Streets.
