New CEO at WPL

There’s a new leader at the Waterloo Public Library.

After 10-month process, Laurie Clarke takes over as CEO of the WPL on Tuesday October 12.

Clarke started her Library career at the Kitchener Public Library in 1976.

After that she worked for Dynix Library Services, then started her own businesses: a consultation company; and a cat-themed retail store.

Clarke has lived in Waterloo for 30-years and is also a volunteer with the library.

Library Board Chair, Stephen Bryant says it was a unanimous decision by the Board this morning after the search committee completed a 10-month process.
