BRIDGEPORT – Grade six students from Bridgeport Public School are challenging residents to step-up and collect 2,000 pounds of food in one week.
Bridgeport Public School’s One Ton Challenge kicks off the whole region’s food drive, working towards reaching the Food Bank’s annual goal of 375,000 pounds.
Food Bank Executive Director Wendi Campbell says with over 28,000 mouths to feed, the drives help keep food supplies in check.
The annual food drive will be held at Bridgeport Public School on Monday, September 27th from 11:50 am to 12:15 p.m. in the school gym.
