Residents of Kitchener are generally happy with the direction in which the city is moving.
That’s the finding of the latest Compass Kitchener survey, released to city council last night.
“Who Are You Kitchener” heard from close to 4,000 residents on a wide variety of issues.
Compass Kitchener Chair, Theron Kramer cautions it was not a scientific survey, but it does provide guidance to the city on what it should do in the coming years.
He tells 570 News most respondents were generally pleased with the diversity of the city and overall leadership.
However, he says there are areas where some would like to see more leadership, such as the environment when it comes to clean air and water.
He says there also remains a split in terms of how big they would like to see the city become over the coming decade or two with some favouring the small town flavour, with others embracing more of a big city feel.
