More snow this Winter?

Get out your hats, gloves and snow blowers this winter, because it won’t be like last year.
Environment Canada’s Senior Climatologist, Dave Philips tells 570’s Gary Doyle show that we can expect a cooler and longer winter this year.
Last year, Kitchener/Waterloo only received 45% of it’s regular snow fall during the winter months.
As the climate changes, Philips says that Canadians will experience greater extremes of weather, but what will really “beat us up” is the increased variability.
Philips says that this year Canadians should expect a tougher winter then last year – thanks to La Nina, which generally means it will be colder across Canada.
