Volunteer Fair

Volunteers are the lifeblood of dozens of local organizations and many would simply not be able to function without them.
That’s the idea behind a volunteer fair today at Conestoga Mall.
The Volunteer Action Centre is staging the event today from 9:30 am to 6 pm with over twenty organizations participating.
The Action Centre’s Prachi Surti tells 570 News it’s a great way for people to explore the various volunteering opportunities available to them and for the organizations to recruit new volunteers.
She says her organization actually has more than 150 members, but since not all can attend, the Action Centre will be in the centre court with information on all of their members as well as on over 400 different volunteer positions.
