Regional Police are warning residents to lock your doors, even if you live in an apartment.
It follows a bizarre 911 call early this morning to an apartment building on Austin Drive in Waterloo.
A resident called police after spotting a man scaling a building and climbing onto a first floor balcony.
An 18-year-old was arrested a short time later.
Police say he was carrying a pair of knives and apparently had grabbed some beer bottles from the balcony.
The man is charged with theft, carrying a concealed weapon and trespassing by night.
