TORONTO – Police may release more details today on the slaying of 42-year-old nurse Sonia Varaschin northwest of Toronto.
Police have confirmed remains found outside of Orangeville are hers and are appealing for help to find her killer.
There had been an intensive search for Varaschin since her blood-stained car was found in an alley last week and blood was inside and outside her home.
Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for blood-stained bedding, adding the murderer likely left Varaschin’s home covered in blood.
Police believe the murderer used Varaschin’s vehicle to move the body from her home to a wooded area where it was found on the weekend.
Police are urging anyone who might have seen her white Toyota Corolla late August 29th or early August 30th to contact them.
Police will hold a press conference today at 1:00pm.
