Helena Guergis in Hospital After Crash

Helena Guergis remains in a hospital near Barrie after a car accident earlier this morning.

She and her assistant were involved in a crash at CFB Borden.

The Simcoe-Grey MP, who is pregnant, was at the base outside Barrie, for an infrastructure announcement by Defence Minister Peter MacKay.

A car hit the vehicle Guergis and her assistant were in as they were driving through an intersection.

An assistant says by all accounts everyone is doing fine, but they have been taken to hospital for observation.
