Take the Power Pledge

The anniversary is Saturday and today is the Power Pledge community challenge day.
The brainchild of the Ontario Power Authority, the initiative is aimed at having a little fun as we cut back on our power consumption.
Residents of communities across Ontario sign up and pledge to reduce their usage.
The goal is to be recognized as the province’s number one community in terms of cutting consumption.
At last check, Kitchener had just under 3,200 people registered; Cambridge had just over 1,200 participants; and 940 people had signed up in Waterloo.
In the regional category, over 5,300 people have signed on.
