Solar facility for Guelph

Guelph will soon be home to one of the largest solar panel module manufacturing plants in North America.

Canadian Solar Inc. announced today it is establishing a
new plant at 525 Speedvale Avenue W.

Ontario’s Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Brad Duguid says it means about 500 more jobs are being added to the green economy.

says solar energy will help every country in the world to improve energy security and energy independence.

The new facility will be capable of manufacturing 200 megawatts of solar modules each year.

Guelph Mayor Karen Farbridge says the community as a whole is making a commitment to sustainability.
