Police probe sex assault

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault that involves an elderly Kitchener woman.

Police say a 42 year old Kitchener man has been charged with sexual assault, criminal harassment and committing an indecent act.

A friend of the woman who lives on Syndey Street called police after they became aware of the suspect approaching the woman while she was outside her home several times.

Police say the charges are related to inappropriate touching.

The victim and suspect were known to each other.
