The Region’s Director of Transit Services is happy about the latest customer service complaints and issues numbers logged with Grand River Transit.
Even though they went up slightly, from 3,050 to 3,337, Eric Gillespie points to the fact that ridership was up by almost 750,000 from 15,810,871 to 16,599,974.
44% related to operational issues like being left at a stop, driving habits and accidents.
42% were service delivery concerns like scheduling, lost and found and route adherence.
Gillespie says they’re always working to increase both employee and customer awareness by tracking and logging each complaint or issue.
He says there will always be challenges, and hopes next year they can get below the 3,000 threshold.
