Arson in Guelph

Guelph Police now say a blaze early yesterday at the city’s new Emergency Services building on Clair Road was the work of an arsonist.

The fire caused between $300,000 and $500,000 in damages.

A police officer was the first to notice the fire, having smelled smoke in the Clair Road and
Gordon Street area and then calling in the fire department.

Police say the investigation continues.
