Study says tunes are a distraction

As you roll down the highway to your long weekend destination, take note. A new study may make you think twice about listening to music in your car.

University of Wales researchers have just discovered that when you’re listening to music, you can’t think straight.

They say tunes distract you from the task at hand, robbing you of the ability to learn or remember things.

However, they also say it doesn’t negate the findings of a previous study that showed music by Mozart can increase your concentration.

They also found that listening to music before a task can increase performance.
