Stafford ride rolls on

WOODSTOCK, Ont. – Rodney Stafford and his son, Daryn, are making headway in their bicycle journey from Edmonton to their hometown of Woodstock.

The 35-hundred-kilometre trip is raising money and awareness for Child Find Ontario.

The father and son team are now in Deep River, about 200 kilometres from the nation’s capital, before looping back home to Woodstock.

Rodney Stafford made a similar journey to Edmonton last year in memory of his eight-year-old daughter Victoria, who was abducted and killed last year.

Rodney Stafford says he and Daryn are riding about 50 kilometres one day and then up to 150 the next — depending on their energy and the weather.

The two are expected to arrive back in Woodstock on August 8th.
