Province throws out the eco fee

The province is scrapping the controversial eco-fee.
Environment Minister John Gerretsen told a news conference this morning consumers and businesses were not properly informed about the fees.
Gerretsen says that means there was no uniformity in the way the fees were charged, starting July 1st.
He says the government will review the program, and set up a consumer protection hotline.
