Update Friday on doping tests

We’ll get an update Friday afternoon about the doping control tests done on the University of Waterloo football team.

The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport will announce the results of 20 blood tests that were done.

A live webcast and teleconference is set for noon.

The blood tests were done in order to determine the presence of certain substances such as human growth hormone.

Last month, the university decided to suspend the football program for the season after a steroids scandal.
