Multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 8

Teamwork went a long way in clearing up a six-vehicle crash on Highway 8 this morning.

The multi-vehicle crash happened right beside the construction area in the eastbound lanes at the Grand River Bridge.

Cambridge OPP borrowed a crane from the work crew to lift a pick-up truck off the concrete construction barrier, where it had come to rest in the 8:30 a.m. crash.

The pick-up had been rear-ended by a dump truck, which appears to have been rear-ended itself by a smaller truck.

The crash snarled traffic in both directions on Highway 8 at the Grand River bridge.

Cambridge OPP report only minor injuries.
