Man dies of injuries from crash

The driver of a dump truck that collided with a VIA Rail passenger train just east of Petersburg last week has died from his injuries.

39 year old Robert Douglas was airlifted to Hamilton hospital but Waterloo Regional Police say he passed away today.

The crash happened just off Snyder’s Road in the Township of Wilmot last Thursday.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
