Stroke victims visit council

About 20 stroke sufferers came to Cambridge Council to drive home the need for out-patient rehab services in the city, as Cambridge has none.
Chair of the Cambridge Health Coalition Jade Campbell says short-term services in the city closed down in 2005 and have not replaced by the Waterloo-Wellington LHIN.
She tells 570 News that its ridiculous a city the size of Cambridge, 130,000 people, has no dedicated recovery centre, like Guelph, Kitchener and even Brantford, which has 2.
Campbell points out that victims who can get into the other local centres…don’t always have the means to get there.
Mayor Doug Craig has promised the group to discuss the matter with Cambridge MPP Gerry Martiniuck.
