Another example of why you need to be very careful what sort of information you find on the internet. Not only for content – but it could also be outdated.
For example, even though Centennial Stadium in Kitchener hasn’t been the site of a Victoria Day fireworks display for years, the power of the internet drew hundreds to the stadium last night – to watch fireworks. The problem is they left disappointed because there was no display to be seen.
This morning’s Record reports the problem is that many of them logged on to the internet search engine “Google”, looking for fireworks in the area. But, the results that were returned by the search either came up with an old news story referencing Centennial Stadium or an incorrect online post regarding previous years.
