Man assaulted and robbed

Police say that around 6:30 last night a 44-year old Kitchener man was assaulted and robbed at a local Kitchener motel.

The suspect in the incident had a weapon and threatened the life of a female in the hotel and assaulted the male that was with her.

The suspect then fled the scene and the victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The female involved in the incident was unharmed.
