Spitfires go for Back-to-Back Memorial Cup Championships

Back on April 20th, the Kitchener Rangers had a chance to sweep the Windsor Spitfires for a berth in the OHL Final.

Unfortunately they didn’t, and since then, the Spits haven’t lost.

Tonight, the Spitfires go for their 12th straight win and their second-straight Memorial Cup Championship.

They’ll face the host team Brandon Wheat Kings in tonight’s final at 6:00pmEST.

No team has won back-to-back Memorial Cups since the Kamloops Blazers in 1995. The last Ontario team to do so was the Cornwall Royals in 1980-81.
