Waterloo Regional Police are trying to solve a mysterious case of abduction in Cambridge.
Witnesses told police that a teenage girl was covered with a blanket and thrown into the trunk of a car in the Champlain Boulevard and Christopher Drive area last night.
The part owner of a car repair shop near the scene says video footage of the area showed a girl talking to someone in a car and then walking away.
John Melo with Cambridge Auto Repair says they turned the surveillance tape over to two police officers earlier today.
Police say the car that sped away after the reported abduction was described as silver and the suspects were white men, one of them between the age of 18 and 25.
Investigators are going through missing persons files but have not found anyone that matches the description of the victim.
They are also asking that independent witnesses come forward.
Melo says their neighbourhood is generally safe, other than a robbery that happened a few years ago. Some businesses in a nearby plaza have bars on their windows.
