The Museum has sent two honourary Tweeters to Florida: 11 year-old Melanie McArdle, and 8 year-old Matthew McArdle. The Conestogo Public School students will be tweeting about the launch of the space shuttle Atlantis on the mission STS-132.
You can follow their experience through The Museum’s Twitter account @TheMuseum.
The mission is in place to bring the Russian Rassvet Mini-Research Module and an item called an Integrated Cargo Carrier-Vertical Light Deployable (ICC-VLD) to the International Space Station.
The launch is scheduled for 2:28 pm, today.
The Twitter mission is just part of the many space-related projects The Museum is taking on this summer as part of its new exhibit, CosmicMania: Our Space Rocks.
