Prepare for revving engines in the tri-cities.
Members of the Grand River Ride for Dad kicked off the start of their campaign today. Set for Saturday June 5th, the family-oriented day is in its 7th year and raises funds for prostate cancer research and education.
Police escorts guide the riders through a parade throughout Kitchener-Waterloo before heading on a 200 km tour, stopping along the way in Elora, Brantford and Cambridge.
Since 2004, the organization has raised over $492,000.
The event is sponsored by Waterloo Regional Police Association and the Grand River Hospital Foundation.
