Patios to open in Kitchener downtown

Kitchener council has approved six new patios for its downtown core.

There’s more room for the outdoor dining venues since the city widened its sidewalks along King Street between Benton and Gaukel.

The patios will be located at the Museum Cafe, Coffee Culture, Maestro Cafe, Matter of Taste, NY Pita and Philly Cheesesteak and will be enclosed by outdoor planters maintained by the Downtown Business Improvement Area.

The patios are expected to be open for business by the May long weekend.
