Rangers Take Game Two

That’s what a lot of Windsor Spitfires fans are saying after another win by the Kitchener Rangers.
The Rangers speared the Spits 5-2 in game two of the Western Conference Finals.
In the second straight game, Rangers goaltender Brandon Maxwell did everything he could to keep the Blueshirts in the game. In game one he made 59 saves in a 7-6 overtime win. He kept things going with a 48 save performance last night which increased Maxwell’s league leading shots-against climb to just under 500; over 180 more shots than any other goalie has seen in the post-season.
His teammate, Jeff Skinner, has six more goals than anyone else this post-season. He added two more last night to move his total to 16. There are three players tied with 10 goals a piece, including Spit Taylor Hall.
Windsor fans have to be wondering what is going on. Not many “experts” gave the Rangers a chance in the series and had already begin salivating at a Barrie versus Windsor final.
With the way the Rangers have been playing though, the only people salivating are Ranger fans at the perspective of going up three games with a win in game three tonight back in Windsor. That game can be heard here live on 570 News. Puck drop at 7:00pm, pre-game with Don and Gary at 6:30.
