Major drug bust

Two men and two women from Waterloo Region are among nine people that have been charged in a drug bust led by police in Owen Sound.

Owen Sound Police Inspector Stephen MacKinnon says that with the help of Waterloo Regional Police, five search warrants were executed yesterday.

Two of the homes searched are in Kitchener, on Valleyview Road and Victoria Street.

Police seized 76 thousand dollars worth of drugs, including 1200 tablets of ecstasy, ketamine, cocaine and several pounds of marijuana and magic mushrooms.

Police also seized 34 thousand dollars in cash.

Among those charged are 28 year old Bryan Timmerman of Kitchener, who also faces charges of leading a criminal organization.

20 year old Heather Montgomery of Waterloo, 24 year old Adam Bellar of Kitchener, and 26 year old Amber Welsh of Kitchener are also facing drug possession and trafficking charges.

Four Owen Sound residents and one Toronto resident have also been charged.
