Best research prize for UW student

A University of Waterloo student will receive a prestigious award today.
Elyot Grant will be awarded the top prize for best research by an undergraduate student in North America by the Computing Research Association.
The computer science and combinatorics major is sharing the award with a student at the University of Maryland.
Explaining his research is not exactly easy, but as he told today’s Record,“I showed that if two sequences of symbols share a certain property, then they must share this other property.”
