Spreading Irish cheer

At least one bar in the region is full today as people in green gather to celebrate St. Patrick.

Mike Kennedy owns Kennedy’s in St. Agatha.

He says people were lined up outside before his restaurant and bar even opened this morning.

They were expecting it to be so busy that even Mike’s sisters came down from Ottawa and Barrie to help out.

Patrons of the bar tell 570 News they have become Irish for the day, even if it’s not in their blood.

One woman from Kitchener was married on this day nine years ago and she says she celebrates her anniversary every year at Kennedy’s.
