Race on to build quantum computer

The University of Waterloo’s Institute for Quantum Computing has hooked up with Singapore’s Centre for Quantum Technologies in an effort to develop a quantum computer.
Today’s Record reports the two institutes will share ideas, research and equipment with the ultimate goal being to create a super computer that would change the world.
This is simply a formal agreement to move forward on this initiative, since they’ve been working together on a number of projects for several years now.
