Plans in works to ease gridlock on Cambridge streets

It’s committee day at the region and top of the agenda is how to deal with traffic congestion in Cambridge.
The region is considering three separate proposals aimed at easing gridlock.
They include a controversial proposal to spend $53-million on a series of roundabouts along Franklin Boulevard, a $15-million proposal to install a roundabout at King and Fountain and the construction of a road along the Cambridge/North Dumfries boundary at Water Street.
That one carries a price tag of $14-million.
