Housing market heating up

Kitchener-Waterloo has one of the hottest real estate markets in Canada.
It’s second only to Toronto when in comes to inventory.
In a report released on Wednesday, Christina Martysiewicz of RE/MAX Ontario tells 570 News buyers are snapping up homes in advance of an anticipated increase in borrowing rates.
She says there will also be tighter lending criteria by the spring.
The RE/MAX Market Trends Report shows there were 33 per cent fewer local listings last month, compared to January 2009.
