“Catcher in the Rye” author dies

“Catcher in the Rye” author J.D. Salinger has died of natural causes.

He was 91.

Salinger had lived for decades in self-imposed isolation in the small, remote house in Cornish, New Hampshire.

Salinger became famous later in life for not wanting to be famous and turning down interviews.

“The Catcher in the Rye” came out in 1951.
