Kitchener City Council will get a report in May on how to speed up the clean up of Victoria Park lake.
Council, voted to make the project its top stormwater priority, and one that will be funded through its new stormwater management fee.
Tuesday’s Record reports, that fee is expected to bring in $9-million for the city’s stormwater services.
Exactly how that fee will be charged is still being worked out.
The estimated pricetag for the cleanup is about $16-million-dollars.
