A fire at Grand River Hospital’s Freeport site brought fire crews and police out around 3:30 Thursday morning.
Kitchener Fire Department, Platoon Chief, Greg Willett, tells 570 News the fire was in the construction area behind the courtyard area, not in the main building.
It’s believed to have been sparked when construction crews were doing duct work on the roof.
Willett says there were no injuries and the fire is not suspicious.
Damage is pegged at $10,000.
